Questions about Rewind.
Rewind keeps Chrome bookmarks as your source of truth and adds a visual timeline, title and URL search, previews, and domain and folder filters.
Add to ChromeChrome Web StoreWhat is Rewind?
Rewind is a Chrome extension for finding the bookmarks already in Chrome with local title and URL search and a visual timeline.
Can I search without uploading my library?
Yes. Title and URL search run locally. A displayed card can separately send its URL to the preview service for metadata, and a returned image can load from its host.
Does Rewind replace Chrome bookmarks?
No. Chrome remains the source of truth. Rewind gives those same bookmarks a better interface for browsing, searching, and rediscovering saved links.
Do I need to migrate my bookmarks?
No migration is required. Install Rewind and use the bookmarks already stored in your browser.
Does Rewind require an account?
No account is required for the bookmark timeline or search.
Why browse bookmarks by date?
People often remember when they were researching something before they remember the exact URL, title, or folder. Rewind starts from that memory and lets search refine the result.
Is Rewind private?
Rewind is designed around browser-local bookmark data and does not require an account. See the privacy policy for details about preview metadata and browser storage.
